In 2008, The Anselma Farmers and Artisan Market Association established a weekly, seasonal market on the grounds of The Mill at Anselma, a National Historic Landmark in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania. In collaboration with The Mill at Anselma and Maysie's Farm Conservation Center, we believe our market continues to benefit to the communities of northeast Chester County as it brings together a growing number of local farmers in an open air environment to provide fresh, local, and seasonal foods and products to local consumers along the economic spectrum.
The Mill at Anselma provides a perfect setting to teach people the value local food production and farming, as well as to connect them with our area’s rich agricultural heritage. Our belief is that the local farms, farmlands, and farming as a way of life in Chester County, Pennsylvania can only be preserved by educating the fast-growing population and creating a community in which children and adults can learn the value of preparing and eating quality, locally produced foods and foodstuffs.
Summer Market – May 23 through September 26, 2012
We are very excited to re-open on May 23, 2012. As in previous years, the Market will be open every Wednesday from 2:00 – 6:00 pm in The Mill’s front field and will feature locally grown and organic produce, great food, and hand-crafted goods.
For more information on becoming a vendor, please contact Erica Zbyszewski, Market Co-Manager, ericaz@anselmamill.org.
