The Mill Recognized for Preservation Excellence
The American Association for State and Local
History (AASLH) proudly announces that the Mill
at Anselma Preservation and Education trust is
the recipient of an AASLH Merit Award for the
restoration of the c. 1747 Mill at Anselma. The
AASLH Annual Awards Program, now in its 60th
year, is the most prestigious recognition for
achievement in the preservation and
interpretation of state and local history.

The Mill at Anselma Designated National Landmark
U.S. Secretary of the Interior Gale A.
Norton has designated the Mill at Anselma, (also
known as Lightfoot Mill) as one of 24 new
National Historic Landmarks. National Historic
Landmarks are recognized by the Secretary of the
Interior as nationally significant properties
that represent or illustrate an important theme,
