Third Annual Swing into Summer
Another Memorable Evening at the Mill at Anselma. The West Chester Swing Kings were on hand with their hot licks from Brian Setzer, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, and the King of Soul – James Brown; as well as standards from the immortals like Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Tommy Dorsey, and Woody Herman. The Swing Kings are a 19-piece big band keeping music live and hot. (Check them out on youtube).

Mouthwatering barbecued delights were served up by Tony’s Restaurant of Phoenixville. Victory Brewing Company was there with some of their award-winning, ice cold summer brews. Plus there were root beer floats, AND ice cream provided by Milky Way Farm. And best of all, locally harvested wheat, ground into flour in our Mill — the base of all our baked summery desserts.

But Swing into Summer is not just about live music and awesome local food, the Mill will had on display the 1820’s elevators, the pulley and belt system, and the barrel hoist, and the grounds were open for exploration.
